Today, I visited the Tatar cemetery, a place of deep history and reflection. As I walked among the gravestones, I noticed that many of the inscriptions are becoming harder to read, slowly losing their clarity. These stones tell the stories of those who came before us, people who lived, loved, and contributed to our shared heritage.

It reminded me how time, if left unattended, can erase not just the marks on stone, but the memory of those who shaped our past. Whether we are Muslim, Christian, or of any other faith, there is a shared responsibility to honor the lives of those who came before us. By preserving their resting places and keeping their stories alive, we also protect a part of ourselves — our history, our values, and the legacy we will one day leave behind.

In caring for these sites, we do more than preserve stones; we safeguard the dignity and memory of those who lived with faith and purpose. It is a reminder that we, too, must cherish and protect the heritage entrusted to us for future generations.
